Litter Pickup at Rimmon Park

We had a wonderful group of volunteers turn out for our Rock Rimmon clean up. We started the morning with a short chat over coffee and passed out bags, gloves, and trash pickers to all the volunteers. Trash picking started just beyond the new playground (which was a huge hit with the kids). Despite the heat and bugs, we were able to collect over a dozen bags of trash from the Rock Rimmon trail. Trash is taken off site so to prevent overflow of the trash cans available at the park. It was unfortunate to see how much trash littered the trail, but every volunteer made a big impact cleaning the area. We are looking forward to returning to Rock Rimmon on September 4th for West Manchester Day. There will be family friendly games and lots of opportunity to meet our neighbors on the West Side.
