Parkside and Gossler Litter Pickup
It was a hot morning, but that didn’t deter a dedicated group of volunteers from coming out to clean the park at Gossler Elementary and Parkside.
We saw some new faces this week and some returning families. The kids loved to mix cleanup time with playground time. We collected several large bags of trash from the playground and surrounding areas.
After the cleanup we headed over to the Parkside Community Garden where we watered We Heart West’s garden plot. Although the plot was originally dedicated to native wildflowers, tomatoes have taken over! The kids that were volunteering are looking forward to returning when the tomatoes are ready to pick.
